Welcome to Central

One day Jesus was asked, "Teacher, what is the first and greatest commandment?" What a great question! Jesus gave two answers that he said go together: love God and love people. We (Central) are a fellowship of Jesus' followers who, through the power of God, are seeking to live those things out together in a greater and greater way. We are seeking to become those who love God with all our heart, mind and strength, and those who love our neighbours as ourselves. Jesus taught us that this is not possible in our strength, but because of his death and resurrection we can do it with the help of his Spirit. And the last thing Jesus said to his friends before he left earth was that he wanted them to share this message with the whole world!

This is the statement that sums those things up for us: We are followers of Jesus who are becoming worshipers, servants and missionaries together.

Whether you consider yourself to be one who is close to or far from God, we invite you with warmth in our hearts to walk this journey with us towards knowing and becoming like Jesus Christ. We pray God's blessing on you, that you would know God's love and that he would draw you to his side through the power of the Spirit of Jesus Christ.

Our theme this year at Central is "Living Jesus' Words" and the theme verse James 1:22: "Do not merely listen to the word...do what it says."
