Welcome from the Pastor

Thanks for checking out our website! I've been a part of Central since 2003, and I've been serving as the Lead Pastor since 2008. If you are new to Central (or even if you're considering Central) I want to say welcome! If I had to boil down who we are I would simply say that we are a community of followers of Jesus who are seeking to walk that journey together. We believe that true life, full life, abundant life, eternal life is only found through Jesus Christ, and we believe life is not meant to be lived alone. |
Love is a pretty important word in the Bible, probably the most important. It's not just that God is really loving or that love is one of things God does. It's not even that God knows a lot about love. It's more. The Bible says that God is love. The only way to know about true love is to know God, and Jesus gives us the perfect example of love. He says it this way: "Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13)
And he didn't just say it. He did it. Jesus died on the cross for you and for me, and he calls us friends if we accept him, if we receive what he did for us.
Of course the message of Jesus is much fuller than I could express in a few sentences on a website, but I want to welcome you into following Jesus with us, following Jesus together. I want to invite you into receiving Jesus' love into your life and learning to live like him, seeking to love and to be loved generously, sacrificially, completely.
If you want to walk this with us, then please let us know. You are welcome to come and check out our gatherings on Sunday mornings (click here for details), and you can even come and go anonymously if you want to. But our strong desire if you're serious about knowing and following Jesus is that you would make yourself known to us. That you would introduce yourself and let us help you get connected --not just a spectator but a truly significant part of this church, this family, this local sliver of the people of God. And that God would fill you up to overflowing with His love, not just for you, but so full that is spills over into the lives of every single person in your life.
